Lindsey Stirling - Take Flight [Official Music Video - YTMAs]

When I first saw this clip it reminded me of M.C Escher paintings and surrealism art. With the music to match it was so breathtaking and amazing.. It gave me shivers sown the spine and I wished that I continued on learning the violin when I was a kid. Yet every time I hear a great violin it brings back memories as a kid and also my Dad playing...

Dad's Birthday!!

The Whole Gang- except my brother
Yay!!!! I didn't remember my password (For those who saw my post on Facebook)... yet reset it instead.... Now on with the blog...

In March a couple of day's before my Dad's Birthday we all that is my family decided to meet up at a cafe near the city. This included my special uncle Dave and his girlfriend Anne on holiday's from Western Australia, my brother and his girlfriend Rachel as well as my mum. The meeting place was a pancake or crepe cafe with as many different types that you could think of. We managed to get a seat for all six of us at a nice comfortable table. As soon as we ordered our coffees, chai latte and crepes they were no sooner out on the table much to our surprise. The crepe I was beautiful because it had a bit of condensed milk apple and cinnamon in it. Very, very sweet though!

My Crepe- with cinnamon on it.
My Dad was in his element talking to my brother about camera's, film and other technical stuff. Meanwhile my Mum was catching up with Rachel my brother's girlfriend talking about fashion, the cafe amongst other things. Uncle Dave and Anne were just seeing Cameron my brother again for the first time in many years gone by. They too were excited about being at the cafe trying crepes or pancakes for a main course. It was a funny atmosphere because not only of the food that there seemed to be cameras and photographs taken left right also centre. Yet the food and drink were having their pictures taken also. I must say that they were a lot quieter than the human subjects. For my Asperger's I get quite creative with pictures and like doing it. I like seeing different angles and looks of things. After the brunch we said goodbye to my brother and Rachel sadly. After that the rest of us - that is five in total managed to squeeze into my parent's car. Were were going to go to some food or cafe fair near there but my Mum got the directions mixed up. Or more like there were no real signs up for it and quite badly organised... Yet here's some pictures of the day....

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day for the first Sunday of September Dad!
As a family we all decided to meet in Darlinghurst and have a brunch. So Dad, Mum,my brother Cam and his girlfriend Rachel all met up at the "Two Good Eggs" cafe.

The food was wonderful and the company was really good as well. It was special just having a family meal together celebrating Father's Day. We don't meet up all together that often yet when we do it is well worth it.

So Dad got spoilt with presents including jelly baby jelly beans which he adores. I also gave him a present which he liked as well. He was in his element and enjoying it.

So Happy Fathers Day again Dad!! I'm glad you like your day of celebration!!!

Below is sourdough, goats cheese, smashed walnuts with honey dish which is so beautiful and yummy. I was so full after the meal that it wasn't funny....

Dad And A Movie About A Dog

Last Saturday was a interesting day. I went up to my parents because I wanted to have some bonding time with my parents yet most of all with my Dad for once. It was an afternoon with my good ol' Dad and a dog movie. It was an Australian movie called "Red Dog".

Upon entering the cinema we noticed that there were a lot of people there also. During the movie there were a lot of laughs yet it was very moving as well. Of how a dog can have unconditional love, friendship and mateship. It was how an animal can touch so many people and also how an animal can still be loyal as well. An intelligent dog who doesn't forget. I could relate to the dog because I'm loyal to my friends and I have really deep feelings as well. I don't want to give the plot of the movie yet it stays with you long after seeing it. In the movie their were also a few tears which was nice. In one part of the movie there was a man nearby who I saw had tears in his eyes as well.

So it was a movie with a true Aussie heart and how animals or most of all dogs can move people onto a different level of feeling. My Dad was also moved by the movie as well which was nice. Seeing the movie with my Dad meant a lot to me because it was an important bonding time. I often do quite a lot with Mum yet not much with Dad. The last movie I saw with Dad was "Avatar" which was a year or so ago. So to have father and daughter time was special considering the past. When I was a teenager and young adult I didn't even want to be near my Dad or close to him. So considering that it's a great big turn-around from years ago. For me I feel that it is important to spend time and catch up with your family. So I encourage you in the future or next week to catch up with your family members.

I've also included an picture of my Dad and also our families old dog called Tess. She died a couple of years ago and she was very well loved and cared for until about 16 years of age I think.... I still miss the poor old dog because when my parents were away I took care of her also. She was such a beautiful natured dog who I loved and still love and miss. Her grave is in my parents garden as well so she is still close by in some respects.

Also including a link for the movie "RedDog" information:

I hope you have a good day..... See you next time....

Happy Birthday Today Dad!!!

Hey there friends!! Today is a super special day today in a few more ways then one. My Dad was born on this day many years ago which was way before my time. Or even he knew that he was going to be a father as well. Also letting you know that it wasn't my Dad's birthday to day yet it was his mothers birthday as well. His mother happened to be my Grandmother who kept her Scottish accent up until she died. So we used to celebrate both birthday's on that day up until a few years ago. Yet my Grandma is still remembered even though she has passed away.

Talking of my birthday's and my Grandma...she so much wanted a daughter after having a couple of boys. She even picked out a girls name for the baby to be. There won't be any prizes for those who guess right yet I'd like to hear what your guess's are... So please let me know....
Anyway as history tells a little baby boy was born to my Grandparents.

Many years have past where he had many and also experiences in his journey. He went to college where he met his wife who is now my Mum. A bit of time passed and they had two kids including me. No his life as a Dad has been interesting and hard also testing sometimes. That's been from me being his daughter I think having Asperger's. Yet my brother and I combined have given them both a few grey hairs.

I got a bit sidelined there yet the bottom line is he is the best Dad out. Sure over the years we have had our disagreements as father and daughter yet I still love him! For anyone who's read my book you can testify to that. So my Dad, my old young man, my father I wish you the best Happy Birthday out!! Love your only daughter....Megan... oxoxoxoxxooxox

Happy Mothers Day!

Today is Mothers Day and it is a day to remember
what all our Mum's have done and sacrificed for all of us. It only comes once a year yet i think we
should remember our mums all year around.
I've included a couple of pictures of my Mum in this post just to show you what she means to me. With the photo's they are not ones from today modern day because she gets quite shy in those photo's.

The sepia photo on the right being held in my Mum's arms I'm pretty sure was in my book. I was only less than a day old and was one of the first pictures that my Dad took of me.

The first one on the left was from a family portrait where Mum and I almost looked like twins with matching outfits on. I was between the ages of 3 to 5 years then. From then on we have shared many, many moments as a mother and daughter. Some have been good, bad, confusing, heartwarming amongst a whole lot of other emotions since then.

It also shows me how much I really do love her also how much my Dad and younger brother actually does actually mean to me. My family does really mean a lot to me and I appreciate them like nothing else.

Today I couldn't talk to my Mum because her mobile was out of range yet I hope that she had an excellent and special day! Yet I'm sure she did have a great one. I think it is one of the first Mother's Day where I was unable to contact her for various reasons and it did feel strange as well. I miss my parents when I don't see them...yet that is probably normal as I'm growing older.
I realize how much that they have done for me and how much that they love me. I also understand that they are growing older as well and that they do also have lives after raising my brother and I.

So this year may we also remember our special Mums not only on Mother's Day yet for the rest of the year as well! We are only blessed with these angels for a certain amount of time in our lives! So for my Mother I hope that you had the best Mothers Day and please remember how much I love you!! Also Happy Mother's Day to every single Mum out there as well around this wide world of ours!
